Vrozlydian Emperor Zebulon Kosted is in a trance. Mesmerism has taken hold of him while gazing into the obsidian mirror. Once used to see the future, the reflections turn to many variations on His Majesty's death, as though the subject has not been decided in the hereafter. Yet the question remains...why does his Imperial Highness trust this object from the distant past?

The scientists, engineers and technicians of Vrozlyd have produced marvels that dazzle even the most bold of imaginations. Though they can transport living beings into the future, at great expense and with considerable danger, they cannot observe it. This has been seen as a blessing, for to know what is to come would undoubtedly become a curse. The Emperor has found this out the hard way.

Obsidian Mirrors were once a venerated and sparsely used ritualistic device. No-one has ever spent weeks on end staring into one. The effect it has on His Majesty is something that medically cannot be calculated. He continues to function, even making music and art, but he has not left his chambers within the palace for so long that the Ministers are beginning to worry. How are the visions he gazes upon endlessly affecting his decision making process?

A household servant has spied the emperor chanting over top of the sounds coming from the obsidian mirror. The servant, truly and honestly concerned for the welfare of his master, recorded this otherworldly seance and took it to the Royal Chamberlain. The porter was never seen again and the recording was hidden within the Imperial vault. For the first time you will hear the sounds which came from this portal...
