Traveling from one side of the universe to the other
Using this unearthed alien spaceship
That crashed on earth millions of years ago

After spending a century cleaning, fixing and adjusting
The craft was launched with a crew of 10
Onboard computers are so efficient it flies itself

We have programmed it to take us to all its previous locations
In the hope that we will encounter alien life along the way
Who knows what we will find out there

During the voyage the crew remains in our cryochambers
When we reach our first destination we will awake
Spending our only conscious moments at a new planet

Tonight we sleep for the first time in cryostasis
All of us are nervous and excited to wake up in a new place
Terrified and thrilled at the possibilities

Dreaming takes a strange turn from the instant our eyes are shut
Torn apart with fear each of us sees our death again and again
Every nightmare recorded from our headsets

Will this continue on the whole night
Burning to ashes, drowning in slow motion
When will there be a break from this carnage and pain

Hours turn into days of torture repeated without end
Words cannot describe the agony of it all
Insanity is the only logical end to this

Teeth are clenched and jaw muscles ache from weeks of punishment
Sweating constantly from fear and anxiety
Trembling like seizures grips us day and night

Could this have been a trap that was left for us
Triggered by our entering the cryochambers
Meant to kill us in our sleep?
