While venturing closer to the surface from his deep cavernous home a goblin travels too close to an underground military base and is captured. He is taken to a secret medical facility where hallucinogens are tested on the criminally insane in an attempt to create super soldiers. While being drugged the goblin, who the doctors presume is a small man, is questioned about why he was so close to the base. When the interrogators realize that he is not human, the goblin bursts off of the operating table and somehow manages to escape. In his intoxicated haze he finds his way back to the series of caves that lead to his home, miles beneath the earth.
